Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has confirmed that his club will sign a contract during the current winter transfer window with Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Some of British media reports said that Konstantinos Mavropanos will complete his transfer to the London club, Arsenal, in the next few days for about 2 million pounds (2.27 million US Dollars) from the Greek club, PAS Giannina.
Arsene Wenger was asked about the signing of Konstantinos Mavropanos and he replied to the media: “Yes, but he is not ready to play with us yet, and we will send him to another team for a while as a loan,” Wenger said after Arsenal drew 2-2 with Chelsea, yesterday, on Wednesday.
Konstantinos Mavropanos has impressed in his team after he promoted to the first team last season and he was impressing in his first full season in the Greek League, Superleague Greece where Konstantinos Mavropanos has played 16 matches since his promotion to the first team, and then he scored three times in the league to be one of the solid defenders in his team and catch the attention of several clubs in Europe and Greece such as Olympiacos F.C. which is the Champion of the Superleague Greece, and is participating in the Champions League.
